It is news for me. Rather couple of days back i was asking my colleague that is it necessary to hire an agent to sell off my home or i can do it myself. I got the same response, which i am getting from past two months that we must hire an agent for this.

Yeah, every owner has the right to sell his house. Sometimes, an agent is really needed. It depends upon the seller. If he has the knowledge needed in selling a property, then he can do it by himself.

Selling home as FSBO really works and you have explained this nicely. Listing and selling on own as FSBO saves commission and saves a hell of a time.
