The process worked ok for us, but what sold our property was a referal of a neighbor to the eventual buyer.
One warning, we received three "offers" for our house sight unseen, from people in England! These were scams that were designed to get us to provide money, before they finally "paid"! Watch for that.
We take great lengths to protect the privacy rights of our customers. We take this issue very seriously and offer our customers:
- A “hidden” email address service in which emails sent to sellers are filtered through a sophisticated spam and fraud system.
- A voicemail service that allows a customer to record a message for buyers to hear and receive messages from potential buyers.
We also suggest that people put their phone number on the National Do Not Call Registry (www.donotcall.gov), which makes it illegal for real estate agents or others to contact you for the purpose of soliciting your business. And, of course, our business policy is to never sell your email address or send you spam.

I've bought and sold houses on my own and with agents, and I've had success both ways. In tougher markets, such as the one we're in right now, a good agent can sometimes offer ideas to help sell a house faster than you could do it on your own. The trick is to find a good agent.
Selling your home on your own isn't very difficult. A discount broker can get your home listed in the MLS for a few hundred dollars, and the buyers' agents takes care showing the property. Then, when you have a contract on the property, the title company takes care of the settlement docs. There's really nothing to it.
It's important to know the real estate process so you can avoid fraud and other scams.

Selling property is fairly serious and nerve-racking process. If seller or buyer has stable psyche then it is acceptable but if someone usually are very emotional that would be better to use service of real estate agent. I know that because my mom sold their flat and during the process she lost weight and become very nervous.
